Why do we celebrate Christmas, and what does it mean?

Christmas is a time to rejoice and give thanks for the goodness of God, regardless of whether or not one celebrates the Christian religion. In reality, Christmas is about remembering and celebrating God’s everlasting love for everyone of us. God brought his one and only Son into the world to rescue sinners, and that’s the miracle we celebrate at Christmas.
